Stephen Ruppel
Artist Bio
Stephen Ruppel is a New Jersey born, self-taught artist specializing in oil painting mediums. Stephen’s love affair with art began in college when he took a color theory course to fill an elective credit, and he’s been painting ever since.
An avid animal and nature enthusiast, his work is mostly inspired by the great outdoors, historical time period scenes are a close second. Stephen has participated in art exhibits in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania and also sold paintings out of local businesses in Cranford, NJ.

Artist Statement
My artistic journey did not come easily. After many trial-and-error attempts to find my way, I finally found my calling with oil painting. I like to paint because it’s one of the few things that you have total control over.
When it comes to art, there is no right or wrong way to go about it. Create what makes you happy, and if you’re lucky, it will make someone else happy too.
