2026 Artist in Residence Program

The Westfield Memorial Library has approved funding of the Artist in Residence program for the third consecutive year and we are now accepting applications from artists who wish to be an Artist in Residence in 2026. The next four-month artist residency starts on March 1, 2026. 

Any Westfield Art Association member can apply to be an artist in residence. In general, an artist in residence is expected to produce art and interact with library patrons twice per week during the four-month residency, and lead two workshops at the library. The artist in residence will be allowed to display and sell their artwork and will be paid for their residency. A committee representing the library and the Art Association Board of Directors will review all applications and select the artist in residence. You can find out the full details and apply here.
