Artist Statement

My artwork explores healing, identity, and emotional experience through drawing and mixed media. As a queer artist and art therapy student, I create work that reflects personal growth, resilience, and the complexity of being human. I am especially drawn to drawing because it allows me to capture emotion, movement, and symbolism in an immediate and intuitive way, but I also enjoy experimenting with different materials and styles.

My artistic process often begins with a feeling, memory, or question I want to explore. I sketch freely and allow the work to evolve, layering materials and ideas as the piece develops. I am interested in how art can communicate emotions that are sometimes difficult to express with words.

Through my work, I hope viewers feel a sense of connection, reflection, and understanding. Creating art allows me to process my own experiences while also offering others a space to see themselves and their stories within the work.
