Artist Bio

Bob Yurochko grew up in South Fork, PA, where he began painting holiday themes on various local businesses as a teenager. In New Jersey, Bob studied with Phillip Sherrod of the Art Students League of New York for several years. His artwork is often called eclectic with musical waves. Bob’s work explores many styles inspired by Klimt, Van Gogh and Afro-America. His work is equally between musical themes, landscapes, seascapres and still life. He explores different techniques using acrylic, pastel, charcoal and ink. Bob taught instrumental music in the Cranford Public Schools and Kean University where he wrote his book: “A Short History of Jazz” with a forward by Wynton Marsalis. He won first place in the Union County Cultural Society Exhibition.
