Artist Statement

I am fascinated by the beauty that I see in the world and am motivated to draw, paint, or photograph that beauty as I see it. My artwork may best be described as contemporary realism, using graphite, charcoal, acrylic, or oil paint to represent the magnificence of our world. My sense of time vanishes when I am capturing the likeness of a figure or portrait or when I paint my artistic visions on a canvas. I hope that viewing my art causes people to be fully mindful and present in that moment and image.
