Dear Westfield Art Association Members:
A reminder: meeting tomorrow at the Westfield Memorial Library from 2:30 to 4:30.
We will have a guest speaker: Agnieszka Golasik. Here is a little bit about her:
Originally from Poland, Agnieszka Golasik holds a Masters in Historic Preservation from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Poland, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Brooklyn College, CUNY, which she received with honors and awards. Agnieszka is an exhibiting artist whose work can be found in private, public, and corporate collections in North and South America and Europe. As a visual artist, she works in a variety of mediums and enjoys printmaking and mixed media the most. Agnieszka’s artwork has been inspired by powerful symbols of ancient spiritual lineages, mediations, nature walks and teachings of various spiritual traditions. The art she creates reflects her deep admiration of nature, quest for source of life, and passion for exploring spirituality and the depths of inner being.
Another purpose of the meeting is to elect Board members. We will discuss the various positions on the Board and elect members for the next two year term. Please write to us if you have any questions or are interested to learn more about what the Board members do.
We will also talk about upcoming member art shows and want to continue our practice of members showing recent artwork that they have created. Please bring some of your artwork and share it with the group.
We hope to have a presentation from an artist at this meeting and will send another notice to let you know what that presentation will be.
We hope to see you all in person at the June meeting.
Thank you,
WAA
