On Sunday, May 20, the Westfield Art Association presented a wonderful demonstration by painting instructor Mark Saenger at South Avenue Arts in Garwood New Jersey.

Mr. Saenger is a Bob Ross certified instructor who is one of the regular instructors at South Avenue Arts in Garwood.

The demonstration began with an informative discussion of the painter’s choice of materials and process. He shared his love of the artwork of George Inness and advised the audience to see the works at New Jersey museums.

The dark canvas and unusual technique informed and inspired all who attended. Mark’s instruction style is conversational and extremely helpful to beginners as well as experienced painters.
